Junior Faculty Development Award
This three-year award, totaling $450,000, provides support for junior investigators working toward independent careers in clinical research related to gastroenterology or hepatology. Junior investigators who hold fulltime faculty positions at North American institutions, and are ACG members, are eligible to apply for this award.
Established Investigator Bridge Funding Award
This two-year award, totaling $300,000, provides support for established investigators with bridge funding for clinical research related to gastroenterology or hepatology. Investigators who hold faculty positions at North American institutions, are ACG members, and have evidence of recent concluded or newly anticipated federal funding, are eligible to apply for this award.

Health Equity Research Award
Now a two-year award, with funding up to $75,000 ($50k year-one, $25k year-two based on progress) supports actionable science that will translate to reducing health and/or healthcare disparities, thereby promoting health equity. This award type is for faculty or practicing gastroenterologists/ hepatologists in community practice in the U.S. or Canada, and the PI must be an ACG member and have pilot data, to be eligible to apply for this award.
ACG/ASGE Epidemiologic Research Award in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy
This award offered jointly by ACG and ASGE supports one or two-year awards of up to $50,000, for projects involving the use and outcomes of gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy using the GI Quality Improvement Consortium (GIQuIC). This award type is for physicians (MD, DO, or PhD) in the U.S. or Canada. Must be an ACG or ASGE Member at the time of submission.
Clinical Research Award
The mission of this one-year award, with funding of up to $50,000, is to support innovative patient-oriented research with direct applicability to clinical care. Preliminary data is required, and at least one of the investigators must be an ACG Member or Trainee Member at the time of submission.
Clinical Research Award Pilot Projects
The mission of this one-year award for pilot projects, with funding of up to $15,000, is to encourage clinical research among trainees and junior faculty. Previous work or preliminary data is not required. The PI must be an ACG Member or Trainee Member at the time of submission.
Resident Clinical Research Award
This one-year award, with funding of up to $10,000, is to support innovative patient-oriented research with direct applicability to clinical care. This award type is for first or second year internal medicine or pediatric residents in U.S. or Canada, and PI must be an ACG Member at the time of submission.
Medical Student Research Award
This 6-10 week research project, with funding of up to $5,000, is to support short-term summer research experiences in gastroenterology and hepatology. This award type is for first, second or third year medical students in the U.S. or Canada, and at least one of the research mentors must be an ACG Member at the time of submission.
